"The future belongs to those who believe in the power of thier dreams." Eleanor Roosevelt

In the not so distant future, weddings will be taken over by robots.... ok, not really, but that will be true in the case of my recent clients Ciara and Jamison.

This charming couple met while working together at a local coffee shop. It all started when Jamison invited Ciara to an art show and the sparks flew! (Sounds like a great movie plot doesn't it?) It wasn't long until 'by the powers vested in Facebook' they were officially "in a relationship". The gears continued to turn and the two decided it was time to make it official. (More official then Facebook anyway.)

The big day will take place in a historic movie theater where the futuristic robot theme will stand out against the 1920's decor. Thanks to yours truly the men will be wearing boutonnieres featuring brightly colored feather fans in shades of purple and aqua that serve as the perfect backdrop for re-purposed gearworks and baubles. These fitting details will be perfect for this playful couple who just happen to be aficionados of robot culture.

Congratulations and good luck to you both!

Picky, Picky!

"My guitar is not a thing. It is an extension of myself. It is who I am." Joan Jett

Well, if I had any doubts before about the passion of even a casual musician you guitar enthusiasts have certainly proven the point!

I am constantly amazed by the popularity of my guitar pick and string boutonnieres and bridal bouquets that I feature in my Etsy shop, and moreover by the joy of my clients who are proud to include their love of music in their special day! All I can say is keep on playin' - and keep sending me your used strings and picks for my re-purposing purposes. :)

Check out the guitar themed showcase below assembled by another Etsy user which features the various creative uses for guitar picks and strings. Happy Picking!

Beachy Keen!

I had some summer fun this week thanks to Kelly and her unique bouquet order!

A beautiful bride-to-be hailing from sunny Florida, Kelly's sea shore wedding will certainly be one to remember! Kelly and I carried her aqua and amber color scheme and beach theme forward with a beautiful sea shell bouquet.
I created the piece using natural shells, sustainably harvested feathers, and natural reed grasses. The soft sandy toned feathers provided the perfect surround for Kelly's shell bouquet.

Here's wishing Kelly the best of luck (and best of weather) on her wedding day!
Enjoy!

Get Inspired!
