Beachy Keen!

I had some summer fun this week thanks to Kelly and her unique bouquet order!

A beautiful bride-to-be hailing from sunny Florida, Kelly's sea shore wedding will certainly be one to remember! Kelly and I carried her aqua and amber color scheme and beach theme forward with a beautiful sea shell bouquet.
I created the piece using natural shells, sustainably harvested feathers, and natural reed grasses. The soft sandy toned feathers provided the perfect surround for Kelly's shell bouquet.

Here's wishing Kelly the best of luck (and best of weather) on her wedding day!
Enjoy!

Hello Readers - (the few but mighty)
Check out the new gadget I installed on my blog:
You can now seek inspiration for your various creative endeavors HERE by checking out color schemes generated in the margin to the right. --------------------->

It looks like this:
Color schemes created and named by readers like you are 'tagged' with words and ideas (like school bus yellow or crayon box rainbow) and displayed here for your viewing pleasure. You can view additional schemes by clicking the link below the colors marked 'Another!'.

I challenge you to pick one at random and create something with those colors! I can't wait to see what you come up with!

Musical Monday

Hello All-
It's Music Note Monday (catchy, huh?) here in the studio. I just put the finishing touches on an order of bouquets and accessories with flowers made from pages of vintage sheet music! Each flower is hand-painted sangria and/or ivory to coordinate with the couple's color scheme, and the pieces are 'sprinkled' with tiny music note charms and coordinating beads. The very best part is the tiny flower corsage for the happy couple's little girl.

As you may know I have the most trouble parting with the purple orders, but in this case I made a few extra flowers to keep in my office. :)

Congratulations, and best of luck to you Gina!

Enjoy!

More Photos

Hello All -
A few more photos from Teresa's wedding this weekend. Is she a beautiful bride or what??? I have a soft spot for 'purple ladies' like myself which makes these extra special for me.
Enjoy!

Absentee Blogger

Hello All- I have been absent from my blog for several weeks, but have promised myself I would get back to it. Tonight I was inspired by reading recent blog posts made by friends, clients, and fellow artists. What really pushed me over the edge was finding a blog post about my work! Ok, ok.... the post was actually about a client's wedding in Seattle, but my work appears in the photos! Check it out here.

I just can't wait to see all of the photos!
